Originally from Tehran, Iran, I moved here to pursue my passion for design. I studied architecture at UC Berkeley and worked as an architect/project manager for 3 years. While I really enjoyed designing and building actual projects, the possibilities of design in tech seemed far more exciting to me.
Stepping from architecture to UX design was a transformative journey for me. Little did I know that these very skills would lay a solid foundation for my transition into the captivating world of UX design.
Architecture and UX share striking similarities in their approach and objectives. Both disciplines revolve around curating experiences for the people who interact with their creations. A successful project in either field requires striking the right balance between creativity and practical implementation. Moreover, designers in both realms collaborate closely with diverse teams, including engineers, product owners, and end-users, to bring their visions to life. It's this collaborative nature that makes architects a natural fit for UX Design.
The digital product design has challenged me to think differently, to fully immerse myself in the realm of user research and data-driven decision-making. This personal growth has been nothing short of exhilarating and humbling. I am constantly pushing myself to refine my skills and create experiences that genuinely enhance the lives of users.
I am deeply passionate about sustainability, living a vegetarian lifestyle, and exclusively shopping for vintage furniture and thrifted items. In my spare time, I enjoy film photography, collecting vinyls, and mixing music.
